Had an interview with Inspiring Interns today. It really didn’t start well when I got stuck in the lift on my way up to their office. I was in there for nearly 25 minutes before a lift technician rescued me. What’s more, I’d phoned my friend Alex who works for II and he and the lady who was interviewing me came down to find me and were talking through the lift doors to me. Most surreal introduction ever. When I finally escaped the perils of the lift, I collapsed into the office gasping for water and sweating profusely (worst 1st impression ever). After regaining my composure I had a good productive interview and made an acceptable video profile (that II send out to businesses). Although they specialise in unpaid internships, lots of the interns go onto full time work with the company and I would certainly recommend them to anyone wanting to find experience. But maybe avoid the lift.
